So, it is now my..fifth month here in LA..not that I'm counting the days or anything...I'm just realizing I really haven't updated! The time has been flying by so fast I can't believe it's been that long already. It's still sunny and warm here for the most part. I think it gets chilly at night though. I still forget that it's November! But there are trees here that change color and their leaves are changing color and falling. It's not quite like the colors of autumn back home, but it's something.
Here is an old pic of some visitors to Cali. They look like they are having fun, right? California=fun=come out and visit! The pic is funny cause we had to self-time it.
So, updates for me:
-I'm coming to Ohio soon! I'll be in town from Nov. 21st-Nov. 28th! I'm so excited about coming home! Yeah!
-I was in DC a month ago to visit my brother for his birthday. I only had a weekend off and I didn't realize how far away DC is from LA because it takes the whole day to travel to the east coast. Anyway, what little time I had was great seeing old friends and I can't believe my brother is getting old!
oh yeah, did i mention i got a hair cut? Yeah, that was a while ago now. I had to chop it to even out some crazy layers I got months ago. I miss long hair!
This is my old friend Nancy from college. I haven't seen here in 3 years! It's so amazing how things change but how some things don't ever change..
these are some pics of my family here in california.
My cousin Minnie, her 2 kids Sabrina and Carter and her husband Fred

Here is my other cousin Junior and his family. They live in San Francisco. This is his little daughter Kaitlyn's 100th day.
these are some pictures from my pediatric residency retreat last month.
these are my fellow pediatrics interns!
This is my big sib Wendy!
These are some blurry pictures from our halloween party...we all had to pick a theme and my team decided to be characters from Wizard of Oz. I ended up being Dorothy cause no one else wanted to be her. I had to put together my own costume because all the ones they were selling were so scandalous! It's basically an apron. I had to staple the material on it because I didn't have needle and thread!
This is a pic of some of the ward nurses I work with.
Here is me and one of my favorite ortho interns, Kacey. It's so sad these pics are so blurry.
Tomorrow I'm going to see Tim Hughes in concert down in the OC. I love his songs...He wrote Beautiful One, Consuming Fire...those are all I can think of right now. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow.
Other news..so, today I got my wisdom teeth pulled out because one was impacted and causing a lot of pain. So they pulled/drilled/cut them out and they gave me a script for Vicodin. I haven't taken narcotics ever in my life so I was a little wary about filling it out, but I did and I am SO glad I did. I never imagined I would be in so much pain. I can only imagine what a broken bone feels like cause it was like a deep bony ache that makes you tear up from the sheer hurt. So, I've loaded myself up on Vicodin not to sound like a druggie but it's not as strong as I think it was. It makes the pain go away, but it hasn't knocked me out. ANYWAY, if you ever get your wisdom teeth pulled, make sure you have someone take care of you and get your pain medication cause you'll need them!
Well, that's it for now. I'll be seeing you Ohio people soon!
